There is an other way to do this. Open help and suport and search for this:
Using special characters (Character Map): frequently asked questions
Click on the first link.
Click “how do I open character map.
Press the button saying “click to open charecter map.
You should have it open up.
run -> charmap
its not a secret is you can just click start/run in run type charmap is what i use to choose symbols for counter strike source idiot noob
