no!…the joker didn’t die!….that’s the point…in this film Evil wins on all fronts…….and Batman has to sacrifice himself for Gotham and to be blamed for Harvey’s crimes…..NOLAN IS GENIUS!

In the book its says that Two-Face is dead, but as ever i think the Joker sum how escapes he always does in the comics and the cartoons
The animation? and effects in this film are what makes it so fantastic and a must see! i was just glued to the screen lol such a great movie, you can see it where i did at : NEW/MOVIEZ/./INFO (remove slashes)

That’s not legal..ok he’s a criminal but every human being has the right for a sentence..even if is crystal clear that he’ll and up in Arkham…do you ever watch the news?:)And Nolan said after Heath’s death that he had wanted to recast him in Batman 3 so The Joker ain’t dead
no on the the dvd extra’s there is a ending they did not put in when after James Gordon says all that stuff at the end,,,, it show the outside of Arkham Asylum and you hear the joker laughing inside…… its not snything to have a wet dream about but it still is cool….

Batman Begins was .. well the beginning of Batman. TDK happens right after. You could see them as the start of everything that happens in the comic book. Means the Joker is very much alive. Locked in Arkham and ought to break out at any time.
The Joker character is too complex… One of the bigest villains ever created. Its even bigger than Ledger. I don’t think the joker character has to end, just because of Heath’s death.

what’s with you guys?It’s crystal clear that the Joker is alive…where on god’s name have you seen him dying?He’ll be locked in Arkham and that’s it….!End of story…no Ledger,no Joker
why? Because he did it great? That doesen’t mean nobody else could perform something superior.
In fact, everyone was pissed off when the news came that Heath was going to be the Joker… Nobody taught he could do it right… So, out there we have lots of actors that could do an amazing work… even better than Ledger’s.
My choices: Daniel Day-Lewis (TERRIFIC actor, and a very similar apparence to heath), Johnny Depp (a chameleon), and Brad Pitt (the weakest choice, but still, a good option)
Maybe you’re right mate….but still Brad Pitt isn’t that suited for the job….Johnny Depp is the only one who could play the Joker
Trust me… Daniel Day Lewis would be a better choice.
Watch at least his recent movies… Gangs of New York, There Will be Blood… He’s got the voice, he’s got the acting skills, he’s got the appareance…
And also, watch his short speach about Heath’s death. It seems that he was touched by that.

Nothing against Johnny but hes another kind of wird kid. I’d imagien him more as another villain.
